Working with us
At Swire Properties, we value people with creativity, forward thinking and commitment, and offer ample opportunities for them to develop and grow within Swire Properties. We look for high-calibre graduates with a versatile mindset, who possess keen career aspiration in the property field, are willing to embark on responsibilities, and capable of coping effectively with the changing environment.
Trainee programmes
To nurture talent and diversity, we offer training programmes every year for high-calibre graduates from different disciplines, namely:
Management Trainee Programme* (3 years);
Building Surveyor Trainee Programme (3 years); and
Engineer Trainee Programme (3 years).
With our business expansion, we also offer career opportunities to graduates of hotel and hospitality management. These 3-year programmes offer rigourous training and exposure in hospitality management in Hong Kong, Mainland as well as in the UK.
*Commencing 2008, Swire Properties and other Swire group companies management trainees are recruited and managed by the centralised Swire Management Trainee Programme. Please click here for details.
What to expect
Trainees on board can benefit from thoughtfully planned job rotations and project assignments (including outside Hong Kong), and are encouraged to pursue studies for relevant professional qualifications. During the whole period of training, qualified mentors and supervisors can provide coaching and insights to promote the personal development of each trainee. These mentors and supervisors provide guidance to the trainees through on-the-job coaching and help them further their capabilities.
Trainees with outstanding performance will be offered a promising career to develop with the Company.
The programmes are modular in design. Each module is designed to enable trainees to obtain practical experience on the job. To ensure that the learning objectives are met, there will be on-going assessment and trainees will be requested to make presentations at the end of each module. Continuous professional development (CPD) training will be recommended by the mentor / supervisors. Besides CPD training, the Company will also provide individual effectiveness training in customer service, business etiquette, soft skills etc.
