Swire Properties Inc., the USA real estate operation of Swire Pacific, has been active in the development of investment and trading properties in Florida since the 1970s.  Its primary focus is South Florida, particularly Brickell Key in downtown Miami, where a number of commercial and residential properties have been developed.

Completed projects include 340,000 sq ft (32,000 sqm) of office and retail space and nearly 1,000 residential units, all successfully sold to institutional or individual purchasers.  Recently completed projects, both in Miami, include The Carbonell, a 284-unit condominium tower on Brickell Key, and Jade Residences, a 340-unit residential condominium development at Brickell Bay.

Asia, a 123-unit condominium tower on Brickell Key in Miami, is due to complete by end of 2007.

The investment portfolio at Brickell Key presently consists of the 329-room luxury hotel Mandarin Oriental, Miami, developed in partnership with the world-renowned Mandarin Oriental Hotel group and opened in 2000.  The Group holds 75% equity in the hotel, with the balance held by Mandarin Oriental International Ltd.
