Viva Vivace! Radio Drama Competition

Viva Vivace! Radio Drama Competition

Since 2005, Swire Organisation for Youth Arts and Radio Television Hong Kong have co-organised the ‘Viva Vivace! Radio Drama Competition’, which aimed to encourage students’ interests in creative and performance arts through radio drama script writing and performance. Response last year had been enthusiastic. Under the guidance of professional tutors, schools composed and performed revealing and touching works of radio drama based on the theme of ‘Arts and life’. A training kit based on event highlights of last year is produced and provided to all local secondary schools.

This year, over 40 secondary schools participated in the Open Workshop of ‘2007-08 Viva Vivace! Radio Drama Competition’. Based on merits of their submitted scripts, 15 schools are now chosen to take part in the programme. Through a series of workshops, five shortlisted schools have been selected for this year.

On 1 March, the final competition of Viva Vivace! Radio Drama Competition 2007-08 was for the first time staged in a shopping mall, providing an opportunity for youth expression and to promote the appreciation of art in the community.
