The thriving business community of TaiKoo Place and Cityplaza, along the eastern foreshore of Hong Kong Island, forms the Company's core portfolio 'Island East'.

Offices

Home to a wide range of multinational corporations, the 12 office towers occupy over 6 million sq ft (560,000 sqm) of space in Island East. Upon the completion of One Island East in March 2008, the entire Island East portfolio will amount to 8 million sq ft (740,000 sqm) of space. All buildings are wired with a network of advanced terabit broadband fibre optic cables, supported by a dedicated satellite teleport, supplying direct links to international gateways.

Cityplaza incorporates three Grade-A office towers, providing a total of 1.7 million sq ft (158,000 sqm) of space and connecting directly with Tai Koo MTR station, while TaiKoo Place houses six Grade-A office buildings and three techno-centres, linked to the MTR interchange at Quarry Bay and, via upgraded walkways to Cityplaza and TaiKoo Place. Complementary to the Island East office portfolio, an exclusive members-only club owned by Swire Properties and managed by the prestigious Peninsula Group named Butterfield's is located at the heart of TaiKoo Place, which offers comprehensive facilities for business and personal entertainment as well as conferences and meetings.

One Island East, a 70-storey Grade-A office building, is due for completion in March 2008. This new development will add another 1.5 million sq ft (140,000 sqm) of office space to the portfolio.


Mall

Hong Kong Island's largest shopping mall, Cityplaza is located in Taikoo Shing and directly connected to the Tai Koo MTR station. In addition, Swire Properties owns more than 300,000 sq ft (28,000 sqm) of neighbourhood shops and nearly 4,000 car parking spaces.

Cityplaza provides 1.1 million sq ft (102,000 sqm) of retail space, which includes three department stores, over 160 retail and catering outlets, the largest ice rink on Hong Kong Island, a five-screen UA Cinema cineplex plus two exclusive Director's Clubs and other entertainment facilities. Its 78-feet high Red Arch is the largest and tallest indoor arch in Asia.
