In 2009, One Island East was presented the Silver Award in IStructE China Awards celebrating its structural engineering excellence, alongside outstanding architectures in China such as the Beijing National Stadium (the Bird Nest). Our pioneering use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) during the design and construction stage of One Island East also earned us the prestigious 2008 Award for Design / Delivery Process Innovation Using BIM by the American Institute of Architects.
We are recognised as a leader on sustainable development issues in Hong Kong. Most of our buildings have received ratings under the HK BEAM and LEED building rating schemes. In 2010, we were named as the Client of the Year – Low Carbon Operation from the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers. We received the 7th Occupational Safety & Health Award, winning a Gold prize in the Annual Report Award Section from the Occupational Safety & Health Council in 2008.
One of our core values is to empower the community by what we do. In particular, we make a difference to the society by promoting arts and culture and in encouraging our staff members to participate in good citizenship.
Our efforts have earned us many awards throughout the years. From 2002 to 2012, we were accredited with the Care Company recognition in the scheme drawn up by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service. In 2011, our Community Ambassador Programme was honoured the Fourth Hong Kong Volunteer Award (Corporate Award) by the Agency for Volunteer Service. In 2003 and 2008, the Hong Kong Arts Development Council presented us with the Hong Kong Arts Development Award – Award for Arts Sponsorship in recognition of our dedicated sponsorship of the visual and performing arts.
