Creativity
Our strengths and capabilities in developing and managing commercial projects that are transformational in terms of scale and impact have been refined over nearly 40 years.
We have created an entirely new business district from a former industrial area known as Island East, which is Hong Kong’s largest private commercial hub and home to hundreds of tenants.
One of our signature mixed-use projects in Hong Kong, Pacific Place is an innovative development project in Hong Kong to integrate office buildings, retail space, hotels and serviced apartments into one overall master development plan.
Vision
The strategy to site our developments on key transportation hubs is in line with our vision to provide maximum convenience and inspiring spaces to our customers.
In the 1970s, the Company foresaw the rise of housing demand from the middle class and embarked on its earliest residential project in the city: Taikoo Shing. Designed for middle-class families, the area has become one of Hong Kong’s first major private housing estates, comprising 61 residential towers that share extensive landscaped gardens and podiums, together with Cityplaza, a shopping mall that houses approximately 170 shops, an office complex and a thriving neighbourhood of shops, dining, schools and leisure amenities.
By incorporating environmental innovations and features in our properties, we constantly set new benchmarks for urban planning and environmental sustainability.
Professional Excellence
Our shopping malls, offices and residential properties are recognised by tenants and patrons to be among the best managed in Hong Kong. Locally and internationally, we have received accolades and recognition from both professional and public bodies, such as the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the BEAM Society, the Hong Kong Management Association and various government departments, in recognition of our commitment to excellence.
Leading the way with our environmentally sound management and practices, we are believed to be the first property developer in Hong Kong to have appointed an environmental affairs manager, and later a sustainability team, to bring in eco-friendly design, construction and management practices and incorporate social considerations into our business strategies and day-to-day operations, supporting our developments, our community and the environment.
