Attracted by the brand reputation of Swire Properties, Fiona Shiu applied for a position in the Swire Properties Trainee Programme during a campus recruitment fair while she was still an undergraduate studying in the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Hong Kong. She joined the Company as a Surveyor Trainee in 1991.
During the Trainee programme, Fiona had the opportunity to work on the retail, residential and office portfolios, giving her exposure to a wide range of key functions such as leasing, property valuation, systems development, data management, marketing communications and events management.
Having been involved in a broad range of challenging and interesting projects over the years since the planning stage, Fiona feels a great sense of pride in seeing the properties come to fruition. “I am motivated by the Company’s strong leadership, good landlord-tenant relationship, its values and vision, as well as the cohesive work environment. I am truly proud to be part of this family,” she said.
