Swire Properties Community Ambassador Programme Launches “Books For Love” Charity Book Drive

The Swire Properties Community Ambassador Programme today launches the “Books for Love” campaign, a three-month book drive to collect books, between today and 24 March, followed by a book sale at ArtisTree in TaiKoo Place from 18 to 20 April. Special drop boxes will be placed in various residential and commercial properties managed by Swire Properties, as well as five centres of The Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong.

With the aim of promoting a love of reading in a green and affordable way and contributing to a meaningful cause, the charity campaign has, since it was first held in 2009, received an overwhelming response from Swire Properties’ clients, tenants and the general public. The campaign welcomes donations of any hardcover or paperback books in any genre which are in good condition.

The collected books will be sorted and categorised by Swire Properties’ Community Ambassadors and put on sale for HK$10 each at the book sale. All proceeds from the sale will go to The Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong to support education programmes for underprivileged children in Hong Kong.
