In 2013, Swire Hotels set up Swire Restaurants, a separate restaurant division, to manage its standalone restaurant operations. Swire Restaurants’ diverse collection of dining experiences and cuisines includes Plat du Jour, a classic French bistro with branches in Taikoo Place and Pacific Place; PUBLIC, an all-day restaurant serving seasonal, contemporary fare and international favourites, with branches in One Island East and North Point; Ground PUBLIC, a gourmet deli in One Island East; The Continental, an elegant all-day restaurant in Pacific Place; and Mr & Mrs Fox, a modern steakhouse and neighbourhood hangout in Taikoo Place. Following Swire Restaurants’ sustainable dining principles, each of its restaurants obtains food from sustainable sources and uses quality local ingredients wherever possible.

Plat du Jour, Pacific Place

The second Plat du Jour opened in Pacific Place in 2015. This 160-seat French bistro features a spacious bar, indoor terrace, main dining area and deli counter to cater to a variety of customers. Under the direction of Executive Chef David Parkin, Plat du Jour serves a range of authentic French delicacies and classic comfort dishes throughout the day.

Plat du Jour is a Parisian-style bistro that serves authentic French regional cuisine. In keeping with the restaurant’s name, the menu features daily changing specials and was created by renowned chef David Laris as part of his long-term collaboration with Swire Restaurants. Open for lunch and dinner daily, the restaurant’s cosy bistro atmosphere is ideal for business gatherings as well as private social occasions.

Offering stunning views from Level 37 of One Island East in Quarry Bay, PUBLIC features both served and self-serve areas as well as a regularly updated menu that spans a variety of cuisines. The 150-seat all-day restaurant is equipped to cater to office workers from Taikoo Place, with meeting booths, free WiFi and media connections.

Ground PUBLIC

Ground PUBLIC, the linked gourmet deli of PUBLIC, is located on the ground floor of One Island East and offers specially selected takeaway items for quick meals on the go. Diners can choose to eat in at one of the tables next to the floor-to-ceiling windows of the office tower, or they can grab one of the picnic blankets and baskets available for guests and dine al fresco on the grass outside of One Island East. Ground PUBLIC also has a branch in North Point.

Mr & Mrs Fox

Spread over three floors of Taikoo Place Apartments, Mr & Mrs Fox is a 250-seat modern steakhouse and neighbourhood hangout. Taking advantage of its unique layout, the restaurant’s ground floor is for casual dining, quick lunches and drinks, the first floor is a 110-seat sit-down restaurant focusing on dry-aged steak and seafood, and the second floor is a 24-seat private dining room with an adjoining terrace, ideal for private dining and events.
