This employee-led volunteer initiative organises and participates in activities that boost the well-being of people in the community.
Guided by our philosophy of building integrated communities, we established our Community Ambassador Programme in 2001 to help people in need in our communities in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
Comprising a network of our employees and their families and friends, business partners, tenants, customers and Swire group peers, the Community Ambassador Programme designs and organises projects that address grassroots needs while also forging friendships, teaching new skills and enriching the lives of individuals and the well-being of the greater community.
Since 2001, our Community Ambassador team has contributed over 75,200 service hours and participated in over 650 activities to benefit more than 75,000 people in the community. In 2011, our Community Ambassador Programme was honoured with the Fourth Hong Kong Volunteer Award (Corporate Award) by the Agency for Volunteer Service.
Our youngest Community Ambassadors lead the way during our Valentine’s Rose Charity Sale at Cityplaza.
This unique project offered new insights into the fascinating history of our Island East neighbourhood.
