Two smaller theatres (Theatre B and C of the IFP), are located on a stunning waterfront site at Fenwick Pier created by the ongoing Central Reclamation. These theatres, which could be fully integrated with the adjoining Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, are linked by shaded, 'green-chain' connections to a new museum complex and new Central Park creating a vibrant arts cluster, the Fenwick Theatres.

Seizing the opportunity to develop the Tamar site for community benefit, Swire commissioned the renowned architect Frank Gehry to create a unique design for the IFP's museum complex - his first project in China. The Gehry Museum Complex will fulfil Hong Kong's need for a world-class Museum of Modern Art.

The imposing and extraordinary architecture and design alone will herald a world attraction and the pride of Asia. Gehry's prestigious projects include the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. His design can be operational as early as 2009, three years prior to IFP requirement, thereafter binding both the new and existing arts and cultural elements to the Cultural Harbour.
