The plan assumes a more formal character at the west end of the crescent
to reflect the historic corridor leading from Statue Square towards the water.
The plan proposes:
a series of new and refurbished open spaces leading from the Legislative Council Building to the new Star Ferry Terminal
a connection between the Hong Kong / Airport Railway Station and the new Waterfront Boulevard
a grand promenade and retail pavilion overlooking the west end of the crescent which provides retail services to both ferry commuters and park visitors
a series of development sites overlooking the park and water along the west edge of the corridor from Harcourt Road to the harbour.
