Accountant (Process Improvement)

We are now looking for a talented Accountant to be part of our dynamic team based at our headquarters in One Island East.  Reporting to the Accounting Manager - System Development, the successful candidate will carry out the following duties: -

Responsibilities:

  • Support the administration and enhancement of the Financial Consolidation System (HFM)
  • Provide support and resolving system issues with accounting teams in both Hong Kong and overseas offices
  • Assist in system enhancement projects (e.g. robotic process automation, shorten month-end closing day, accounting software review…etc.) with an aim to improve standardization, accuracy and efficiency, and to strengthen internal control
  • Work closely with external consultants, IT and user departments in the new project development and management
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of finance administration operation policies and procedures of financial systems
  • Support in identifying, verifying, analyzing, and implementing process improvement and process re-engineering
  • Perform ad-hoc system projects and system testing

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in multi-national corporations (with experience in property development and property management industry will be an advantage)
  • Member of recognized professional Accountancy bodies, degree holder in relevant subjects
  • Proficient in computerized accounting systems and Microsoft office software, experience in HFM, Oracle Financial Management System and JD Edwards, project management and Financial System projects
  • Experience in lean, six sigma, operational excellence and process improvement concept and procedures
  • Experience with robotic process automation and other intelligent automation tools & techniques
  • Proficient in using advanced MS Excel formulations and functions
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and able to work independently
  • Detail-oriented, committed, pro-active, independent and can work under pressure
  • Good team player, well-organized, self-motivated with good interpersonal skills
