"In pursuing our mission to redevelop Sanlitun into a new destination for shopping, entertainment, and art and cultural activities, we are delighted to have so many world-class brands joining us at The Village," said Norman Chan, Swire Properties' General Manager for the Sanlitun project. "We will work alongside these international brands to help them achieve new retail milestones in China."

The spectacular trade mix also includes a 1,700-seat, eight-screen Megabox Cinema and a cluster of renowned creative brands, such as Versace, Ports International, Masterpiece and Class Roberto Cavalli, as well as high-energy brands including Esprit, Lacoste, i.t, Quiksilver, Craft, Mizuno, Hilfiger Denim, Levi's, Sole Town, Eminence and G2000, to name a few. The Village at SanLiTun will also contain more than 30 restaurants and bars, from the finest of sophisticated dining to the convenience of popular snacks.

"What we are creating at The Village is much more than a retail experience. Our vision is to develop The Village into a vibrant community, blending in with and helping to regenerate the Sanlitun area. We aim to establish a cosmopolitan mix of fashion, food, art, entertainment and hospitality, creating an environment where people can stay all day, mixing outdoor street-side events and activities with indoor dining, entertainment and shopping," added Chan.

The Village at SanLiTun, located at the junction of Worker's Stadium North Road and Sanlitun Road in Chaoyang District, comprises two sites with a total site area of over 53,000 sq m (580,000 sq ft). Scheduled for opening in the first half of 2008, the project has a total floor area of over 172,000 sq m (1,850,000 sq ft) spreading over 19 buildings, including a stylish 100-room boutique hotel.
