Swire Properties Presents the 16th Beijing Music Festival’s “Urban Series” at Taikoo Li Sanlitun

Swire Properties proudly presented “Taiwan Original Pop & Rock”, the Urban Series concert for the 16th Beijing Music Festival (BMF) at The Orange, Taikoo Li Sanlitun. As the main acts, singers Kay Huang and Sean Lin led the way in bringing a truly spectacular show to the Beijing community.

The concert presented an electrifying mix of Taiwanese pop and rock music with a classical edge. While Kay Huang and Sean Lin thrilled an audience of over 450 people in The Orange with their performances, a Taiwanese crossover band performed a striking blend of rock and pop music; together with a flawless recital from members of the China Philharmonic Orchestra, the show helped change the way the audience experienced pop and rock music from Taiwan.

The concert was free to the public through advance registration, and visitors outside The Orange were able to enjoy the concert via a live broadcast on the giant LED screen in The Piazza of Taikoo Li Sanlitun South.

“We are delighted to present this exceptional Urban Series concert at Taikoo Li Sanlitun for its third consecutive year,” said Guy Bradley, Swire Properties’ Chief Executive Officer – Mainland China. “Swire Properties and the BMF have been working together with a shared vision to bring exciting and exceptional music experiences to a wider community. These dynamic contemporary performances have succeeded in achieving this goal and in doing so had attracted a new and younger audience to this renowned Festival."

In addition to hosting six of the BMF’s concerts in Taikoo Li Sanlitun, a number of ‘Master Classes’ and educational programmes are currently being hosted at INDIGO – Swire Properties’ second mixed-use project in Beijing. Members of the public can visit INDIGO and enjoy free-admission Master Classes from renowned musicians such as Ildiko Komlosi and Chris Botti.
