Cityplaza to bring diverse selection of eateries, lifestyle and entertainment offerings to Eastern district
12 December 2016, Hong Kong – Cityplaza today unveiled an exciting tenant-mix revamp programme, which will see 12 new eateries and retail outlets opening progressively by the first half of 2017. These new additions span a range of eateries, lifestyle stores and entertainment offerings, making Cityplaza a hub of happiness in the spirit of its ‘LIVE HAPPY’ slogan.
A major highlight is the introduction of nine new contemporary eateries, which will open over the next few months. These restaurants span a range of cuisines, from Shanghainese, Taiwanese and authentic Japanese to Thai, American and French, as well as a brand new lifestyle food marketplace unique to Hong Kong.
“We’re very proud to break a record as the popular destination on Hong Kong Island to house so many delicious eateries – 70 in total,” said Aileen Chan, General Manager of Cityplaza. “We’ve made some outstanding additions to the mall this year with our tenant offerings, and we’re excited to continue the trend into the new year with a colourful infusion of food concepts which are sure to delight our customers and reinforce Cityplaza’s position as a simple, fun-filled and lively destination for people of all ages.”

A number of new lifestyle tenants will also debut their first concept stores at Cityplaza. Australian healthy juice bar Pressed Juices will extend their offerings beyond their signature detox juice cleanses to workshops on organic skincare and fragrances. Meanwhile, the one-stop travel specialist store Go Wild will launch its first flagship, offering world-class travel, outdoor gear and smart gadgets.
Visitors can look forward to more exciting additions in 2017. We will be introducing a brand new cinema concept, MOViE MOViE, which comprises six wide screen houses and a well-furnished VIP house, with state of the art technology to deliver a fully immersive cinematic experience for movie lovers. Besides offering popular mainstream movies, the new cinema will serve as a venue for film festivals, lifestyle workshops and cultural events. Leading Japanese cooking school ABC Cooking Studio will open its largest studio in Hong Kong by May 2017. The studio aims to encourage the enjoyment of cooking and bring smiles to the dining table, while offering special menus in addition to its regular courses.

Cityplaza is the largest shopping mall on Hong Kong Island, spanning a total floor area of approximately 1.11 million sq ft (approximately 103,000 sqm).
