JUDGES’ COMMENTS

Among the many comments made by this year’s judges, they highlighted HKRI Taikoo Hui’s transformative power, describing it as a perfect balance between cultural preservation, community engagement, environmental conservation and asset value, while driving the District’s overall development.

They were also impressed by the project’s many "firsts", including setting a new benchmark for the industry in terms of commercial collaboration based on an integrated mixed-use model, while also showcasing creative ways to offer unique lifestyle experiences.

Tim Blackburn, Chief Executive Officer, Chinese mainland, Swire Properties, said, “HKRI Taikoo Hui was our second Taikoo Hui development, following the success of Taikoo Hui in Guangzhou. True to brand, the development carries our signature hallmarks of great connectivity, bespoke design and quality, and mixed-use convenience. Since its opening in 2017, HKRI Taikoo Hui has helped establish Jing’an District as one of the leading commercial districts in Chinese mainland, with innovative, one of a kind concept stores and specially curated, unique event spaces for the community.”
