Swire Properties Introduces New Residential Development “WHITESANDS”

Modern Detached Two-Storey Houses on South Lantau

Swire Properties today unveiled its latest residential development, WHITESANDS, comprising 28 modern detached houses opposite Cheung Sha Beach on South Lantau, with saleable areas ranging from 1,954 to 2,598 sq ft .The development is scheduled to be launched in the latter half of 2015.

Located at 160 South Lantau Road, WHITESANDS has the best of both worlds. It is surrounded by a unique natural setting, with lush greenery and a beautiful coastline capped off by Hong Kong’s longest sandy beach, Cheung Sha Beach, while also enjoying excellent connectivity to Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. The development is also about a 15-minute drive from Hong Kong International Airport and Tung Chung.

The 28 two-storey houses have four configurations, including six houses spanning 1,954 sq ft with a three-bedroom layout; sixteen houses ranging from 2,310 to 2,480 sq ft with a three-bedroom layout and a family room; and six houses ranging from 2,586 to 2,598 sq ft with a four-bedroom layout, three of which have their own swimming pools.

“As our first residential development on South Lantau, and in such a fantastic beachfront location, we engaged a top London architectural firm to produce something special, and we think we have done just that with WHITESANDS,” said Adrian To, Director, Residential at Swire Properties. “We have carefully incorporated many unique and attractive features into the project, so that WHITESANDS has the Swire Properties stamp of creative innovation and best-in-class quality. WHITESANDS also answers the rising demand for luxury residences in close proximity to both nature and the buzz of the city, and we believe it offers a truly privileged living experience for residents.”

Designed by PDP London, WHITESANDS draws on the beauty of its natural setting, with each house oriented to capture panoramic views of the South China Sea and the surrounding greenery. Each house has been designed to maximise the flow of natural sunlight, and features both front and back gardens, as well as a private rooftop.

WHITESANDS obtained an occupation permit in February 2015, and completed homes will be put up for sale in the latter half of this year. Two show houses are currently being furnished and will be available for public viewing shortly.
