Swire Properties Named in 2015 Dow Jones Sustainability Index Listing for First Time

Swire Properties is pleased to announce that it has been named in the 2015 Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for the first time. Selected by S&P Dow Jones Indices, one of the world’s leading providers of financial market indices, and investment specialist RobecoSAM, the inclusion recognises Swire Properties’ long-term investment in and commitment to sustainability.

The DJSI are a family of global indices comprising companies worldwide which have performed outstandingly in sustainability. The DJSI are based on RobecoSAM’s comprehensive assessment of financially material economic, environmental and social factors, with companies only being listed in the annual ranking if they are best in class within their industry for sustainability.

More than 1,800 companies were evaluated for inclusion in the indices, with just nine Hong Kong listed companies being included in the DJSI Asia Pacific Index in 2015. Swire Properties is one of only three from Hong Kong under the “Real Estate” category.

“We are delighted to be included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices,” said Guy Bradley, Swire Properties’ Chief Executive. “We appreciate the recognition which demonstrates our sustainability leadership within the industry at an international level. We are committed to maintaining world-class standards in our property developments, and surpassing the expectations of our stakeholders on corporate social responsibility.”
