Henry Bott Named President of Swire Properties Inc.

Swire Properties Inc., the U.S. real estate arm of the Hong Kong listed multinational corporation, has announced the appointment of Henry Bott as President, effective January 24, 2023. Swire Properties Inc. is one of South Florida’s leading international developers of urban office, hotel and condominium properties, including Brickell Key and Brickell City Centre, and has been headquartered in Miami since 1979.

Bott was previously Swire Properties’ Chief Representative in Vietnam. He will oversee the Company’s commercial and residential real estate developments in Miami, including future pipeline projects such as One Brickell City Centre, the 1,000 feet tall Class A office building which is set to have the largest floor plate of its kind in the city.

Over the past 12 years Bott has been closely involved in numerous successful development projects in the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong and South East Asia. In Vietnam Bott oversaw $2 billion of real estate investment, including a 6 million sq ft mixed-use development comprising luxury condominiums, hotel, retail and office. Prior to that, he was Senior Portfolio Manager for Swire Properties’ Taikoo Place office precinct in Hong Kong, where he helped launch the triple-Grade A office tower One Taikoo Place, as well as other asset reinforcement initiatives across the 7 million sq ft portfolio.

His predecessor, Kieran Bowers, has led Swire Properties Inc.’s major initiatives throughout the past six years, including completing the development of Brickell City Centre, the $1.05-billion, 4.9 million sq ft, mixed-use development, and the pre-development of One Brickell City Centre. He also oversaw the sale of various developed assets, which allowed the firm to reinvest capital into new projects.
