Christopher joined the Swire group in 1978. He has held various management positions within the group in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Australia and, most recently, Papua New Guinea where he was awarded a C.B.E. for services to trade and the community. He returned to Hong Kong in 2000 to be Executive Director of Swire Pacific Limited’s Trading & Industrial Division. He was appointed an Independent Non-Executive Director of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited and a Non-Executive Director of Air China Limited in 2006. He became a Director of Swire Properties Limited in 2003. Martin CubbonChief ExecutiveMartin Cubbon oversees the Company’s overall management and strategic direction.
A Chartered Accountant, Martin joined the Swire group as Internal Audit Manager at Cathay Pacific Airways Limited in 1986, since which time he has served in a number of management roles across the divisions of the Swire group. He has been a Director of Swire Pacific Limited since 1998.
Before taking up his role as Chief Executive of Swire Properties Limited in 2009, Martin was a Director of Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited, Chairman of Swire Beverages Limited and Group Finance Director of Swire Pacific Limited.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Gordon OngleyChief Operating Officer – Hong KongGordon Ongley oversees the Company’s business operations in Hong Kong, including property valuation and acquisition, project design and construction, portfolio leasing and management, and sales and marketing.
Gordon first came to Hong Kong in 1980 and joined Swire Properties Limited in 1995. He became a Director in 2003, and was appointed the Chief Operating Officer in 2006 and Chief Executive Officer – Mainland China in 2008. He assumed his current role as Chief Operating Officer – Hong Kong in 2011.
A Chartered Surveyor, Gordon is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors. Guy BradleyChief Executive Officer – Mainland ChinaGuy Bradley oversees the Company’s business operations in Mainland China, including the implementation of the Company’s overall investment strategy, acquisition of development opportunities as well as management of projects in the four principal cities – Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou and Shanghai – where the Company’s representative offices are located.
Guy has worked in the Swire group for more than 23 years, including general management roles in Swire’s businesses in Papua New Guinea, Japan, Hong Kong, Mainland China, the United States, Taiwan, Vietnam and the Middle East. He joined Swire Properties Limited in 2006 and became a Director in 2008. Prior to assuming the current role in 2011, Guy was Chief Operating Officer – Hong Kong. He was also appointed as Chief Representative of the John Swire & Sons China office in 2011.
A Chartered Surveyor, he is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors. Davy HoExecutive DirectorDavy Ho joined Swire Properties Limited in 2010 with responsibility for developing Government and joint venture relationships.
Davy joined the Swire group in 1970 and has worked for the Group’s business development in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taiwan. Before becoming a Director of Swire Properties Limited, he had been a Director of Swire Pacific Limited since 1997, of Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited since 1999 and of John Swire & Sons (HK) Limited since 1995; he was also Chairman of the Swire group’s Taiwan operations and of a number of Group companies with shipping and travel interests. Michelle LowDirector, Finance & Human Resources Michelle Low is responsible for the financial interests and human resources management of Swire Properties Limited. She joined the Swire group in 1987 and has held a range of management positions in Hong Kong.
Prior to joining Swire Properties Limited in 2010, Michelle had been Director (Finance) of Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited since 2007. She was previously Finance Director of Swire Pacific Limited’s Trading & Industrial Division and of The China Navigation Company Limited. General ManagersMabelle MaGeneral Manager, Development and ValuationsMabelle Ma oversees new development opportunities in Hong Kong as well as valuation, planning and development issues.
Mabelle joined Swire Properties Limited in 1996 and took up her current role in 2010, having previously held a senior position in the Residential Sales Department of the Company.
A Chartered Surveyor, Mabelle is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors. Kenneth NgGeneral Manager, Projects - Hong KongKenneth Ng is responsible for the design, construction and delivery of all new property developments in Hong Kong.
Kenneth is a seasoned Chartered Civil Engineer who worked for various well-known property development companies prior to joining Swire Properties Limited in 2002. He has considerable expertise in the construction of a variety of properties, ranging from commercial and residential to hospitality developments, in Hong Kong, Mainland China and other Asian cities.
A Registered Structural Engineer and Chartered Engineer, Kenneth is a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Institution of Civil Engineers, UK and Institution of Structural Engineers, UK. Don TaylorGeneral Manager, OfficeDon Taylor is responsible for the leasing and management of the Company’s office portfolio in Hong Kong.
He joined Swire Properties Limited in 1991 and has served in a number of roles in development and valuations, retail, residential (including serviced apartments) and offices. He was previously the Senior Portfolio Manager responsible for the leasing and management of TaiKoo Place, Island East.
A Chartered Surveyor, Don is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors.
Elizabeth KokGeneral Manager, RetailElizabeth Kok is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and value creation for our retail portfolio in Hong Kong.
A Chartered Surveyor for over 25 years, Elizabeth had worked at major developers in Hong Kong before joining Swire Properties Limited in 1987. She was previously the Senior Portfolio Manager responsible for retail and office leasing of Cityplaza, Island East. Adrian ToGeneral Manager, ResidentialAdrian To is responsible for sales, leasing and managment, estate management and marketing of the Company's residential portfolio in Hong Kong.
Adrian joined Swire Properties Limited in 1988 and has since served in a number of roles in Hong Kong and London. He was previously the General Manager of Special Projects responsible for various corporate initiatives of the Company.
A Chartered Surveyor for almost 20 years , Adrian is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors and a registered professional surveyor of the Surveyors Registration Board. Dominic PurvisGeneral Manager, Marketing, Communications & e-ServicesDominic Purvis manages the Company’s marketing, communications and information technology services, as well as overseeing its arts & culture, community and philanthropy programmes.
Dominic joined the Swire group in 1989 and has since held various management positions within the Group in Hong Kong, India and Germany with Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and Swire Properties Limited. He spent three years at Swire Properties Limited in the 1990s and rejoined the Company in 2009.
Cary ChanGeneral Manager, Technical Services & Sustainability Cary Chan oversees the technical standards, sustainability policies and strategies for the Company.
Cary joined Swire Properties Limited in 1995. In his previous position as Head of Technical Services & Sustainability, he carried out a number of award-winning researches and initiatives on energy efficiency in buildings, and is active in several professional associations, including the Hong Kong Green Building Council and the BEAM Society.
A Chartered Engineer and Registered Energy Assessor, Cary is a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and the UK Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers.
Alvin KongGeneral Manager – Portfolio Management (Mainland China)Alvin Kong is responsible for the leasing and management of our completed Mainland China portfolio.
Alvin joined Swire Properties Limited in 1991. Having held different positions in Hong Kong, he was posted to the Mainland in 2005. He became General Manager, Shanghai & Eastern China in 2008 before assuming his current position in 2010.

Gerard LowGeneral Manager, Beijing & Northern ChinaGerard Low is responsible for new acquisitions, property development and management for the Company’s business in Beijing and Northern China.
Gerard has extensive property management experience in Canada and Hong Kong. After joining the Company in 1988, he was appointed Chief Representative of the Swire Properties Beijing Representative Office in 2005 and General Manager for Beijing & Northern China in 2008. Alan LeeGeneral Manager, Chengdu & Western ChinaAlan Lee is responsible for new acquisitions, property development and management for our business in Chengdu and Western China.
A member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Alan has been involved in business in Mainland China since 1993. He joined Swire Properties Limited in 2007 as Business Development Director – China and was appointed the Company’s Chief Representative, Chengdu and Western China in 2008. He assumed his current role in 2010. Ainsley MannGeneral Manager, Shanghai & Eastern ChinaAinsley Mann is responsible for new acquisitions, property development and management for the Company’s business in Shanghai and Eastern China.
Prior to joining Swire Properties Limited in 2011, Ainsley, a chartered surveyor and a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, has been with Swire Beverages for 13 years, 8 of which he was based in Mainland China. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Coca-Cola Bottlers Manufacturing Holdings Limited in China in 2006 and was responsible for the development of many new manufacturing facilities. He also has extensive experience in the industrial real estate sector in Indonesia, Hong Kong and the UK. Brian WilliamsManaging Director, Swire HotelsBrian Williams leads the development of new hotel brands for Swire Properties Limited in Hong Kong, Mainland China and the UK.
A career hotelier who has worked in the luxury hotel market on four continents over the last 30 years, Brian joined Swire Properties Limited in 2006. Stephen OwensPresident, Swire Properties Inc.Stephen Owens leads the Company’s US development and investment operations.
He joined the Swire group in 1977, and was appointed President of the US operations in 1985. Prior to rejoining Swire Properties Inc. in the United States in 1992, he spent two years with Swire Properties Limited in its Hong Kong headquarters, in charge of the Company’s investment and residential portfolio. |
