Arts and Culture

Our long-standing commitment to promoting arts and culture serves to raise the quality of people’s lives and forge connections between our employees, residents and the wider community.

We founded Swire Organisation for Youth Arts (SOYA) in 2005 to promote arts and culture in Hong Kong and the Mainland China and to help nurture artistic and creative young talents. We have organised a number of youth education programmes including Viva Vivace! Radio Drama Competition and Art Talents Pop Up!.

We believe that cultural arts should not be restricted to museums or galleries and be promoted in different forms and varieties for everyone to enjoy. Over the past three decades, we have supported a broad range of arts and cultural events, performances, exhibitions and artwork commissions.

We hold one of the largest private art collections in Hong Kong, which we put on open display throughout our buildings. To broaden art education, we organise artwalk tours to showcase our art collection at our Island East properties for individuals and groups.

As a regular venue sponsor for artistic events, we offer quality cultural entertainments and programmes for the enjoyment of the community, such as lunchtime orchestral music concerts and the Friday Fest' jazz performances; and Italian street painting and illusion art workshops at TaiKoo Place. In 2008, we launched ArtisTree, a multi-purpose venue in Cornwall House, TaiKoo Place, dedicated to arts and cultural events and activities. Comprising 20,000 sq ft, comprehensive infrastructure and professional management support this museum-quality space which enables us to bring world-class cultural events to the people of Hong Kong.

We received the Award for Arts Sponsorship 2008 from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council in recognition of our continuing support of arts and culture in Hong Kong.
