Policies

We believe that long-term value creation depends on the sustainable development (SD) of our business and the communities in which we operate.

We are committed to operating in an environmentally, socially, economically responsible manner across all aspects of our business. We take these factors into account during the inception, design, construction, occupation and demolition phases of our development projects. As part of our SD 2030 vision, we aim to be the leading sustainable development performer in our industry globally by 2030.

The SD 2030 Strategy incorporates specific commitments and measurable goals that are built on five strategic pillars: Places, People, Partners, Performance (Environment), and Performance (Economic). These pillars are designed to allow us to work closely with all relevant parties to build SD capability across our business activities.

Our commitment to sustainable development is underpinned by the Swire Pacific Sustainable Development Policy, which we adopted in 2008. It is also supported by our Environmental Policy, Energy Policy, Waste Management Policy, Health and Safety Policy, and Supplier Code of Conduct.

We have established the Environmental, Social and Governance Committee (ESGC) to review and oversee the implementation of our SD 2030 Strategy. The Terms of Reference for the ESGC can be found here.
