Art Basel Hong Kong

Swire Properties Arts Month returns in 2026 — celebrating art in everyday life and sparking connection, curiosity and inspiration.

This year’s Swire Properties VIP Lounge at Art Basel Hong Kong, Into the Wild, is designed by Oscar-nominated production, costume designer and film editor William Chang. Inspired by Hong Kong’s native plant Chinese silvergrass, the immersive installation features 4,000 handcrafted blades and hosts the Dialogue Series of panel discussions and artist talks.

At Pacific Place, the only offsite Encounters of Art Basel Hong Kong returns with a site-specific digital animation installation, A String of Echo Traps by Christine Sun Kim — an American sound artist, performer and activist whose practice explores the politics of sound, language and communication.

Meanwhile, the Starstreet Precinct presents I Have Anticipated You II by Gabriel Rico on Star Street . Rico, a Mexican contemporary artist, pairs found, collected and manufactured materials to create sculptures that reflect on the relationship between humans and the natural environment.

As Official Partner of Art Basel Hong Kong, Upper House Hong Kong’s The Tea Room will host a week-long programme led by sustainable fashion designer Philip Huang, exploring community and making through cross-disciplinary conversations.

At Taikoo Place, ArtisTree Selects: Imagination Investments by Coco Capitán unfolds as a three-part exhibition. Capitán’s practice moves fluidly between fine art and commercial contexts, working across photography, painting and prose.

Cityplaza will host IN ART WE SHARE – CITY ART LOUNGE, anchored by Perpetual Discussion Platforms, a large-scale sculptural work by contemporary British artist Liam Gillick, alongside live music and a Media Lounge.

An exciting collaboration between r é n and EAST Hong Kong presents r é n @ EAST, showcasing works by artists from Hong Kong and London to transform EAST Hong Kong’s Lobby to an exhibition space.

Together, these programmes invite audiences to encounter art and new experience as part of everyday city life.
