EAST, Miami, Swire Hotels’ first property in the United States set to open in fall 2015 with 263 rooms and 89 serviced apartments at Brickell City Centre, has announced a collaboration with Uruguay’s hidden gem La Huella, to create the hotel’s signature restaurant. This South American hot spot is adored by celebrity chefs and attracts worldwide foodies and beach-chic crowds – making this concept ideal for the savvy traveler and resident Miamian alike.
Signature plates from La Huella’s head chef Alejandro Morales will be centered around the Uruguayan Parrilla grill inspired by owners Martín Pittaluga, Gustavo Barbero and Guzmán Artagaveytia’s Uruguayan roots.
The design team of Los Angeles-based Studio Collective will transport the essence of South America to Miami by capturing the laid-back yet energized vibe of one Uruguay’s favorite restaurants at its new urban locale.
