Pacific Place Unveils First Batch of Ten New F&B Concepts

Diverse selection of quality restaurants bring compelling flavours to Pacific Place and Starstreet Precinct

Pacific Place today unveiled a new and refreshed gastronomic experience by introducing ten new contemporary eateries, which will open progressively during the second half of 2016. Spanning a range of cuisines, including contemporary Italian, modern Chinese, stylish brasserie, authentic Thai, Japanese fusion, artisanal coffee and éclairs, the new additions will be operated by established local and international restaurant groups, and seven of the ten will either be original concepts or will be making their Hong Kong debut.

“Our strategy is aimed at further broadening the variety and diversity of choices to make Pacific Place more attractive to a wider range of customers,” said Fiona Shiu, General Manager, Pacific Place. “We’re excited to be collaborating with these fantastic operators from both Hong Kong and overseas, most of whom have chosen Pacific Place to debut their restaurants. I am confident the new offerings, which cover a variety of price points, will hold great appeal for our customers.”

In a move to beef up the tenant mix and offerings of Pacific Place in 2016 and 2017, the F&B footprint at Pacific Place mall will be increased by 50%, which means the addition of at least 10 new outlets.  Together with the popular eateries at Starstreet Precinct, the new dining mix will create a vibrant culinary scene across the entire Pacific Place neighbourhood.

The first batch of new eateries at Pacific Place mall and Starstreet Precinct includes:

  • Apinara Thai Cuisine and Bar – Award winning Bangkok restaurant Nara will partner with HK F&B Group Drawing Room Concepts to launch its first restaurant and bar in Hong Kong. Apinara will provide an authentic Thai experience with traditional recipes and exciting cocktails in a relaxed and modern ambiance.
  • Dim Sum Library – An exciting contemporary casual Chinese restaurant by the Aqua Restaurant Group where innovative all-day dim sum meets cocktails and wines.
  • Fuel Espresso – Renowned for their quality coffee, this espresso specialist has now opened in a beautiful setting on Level 2 of Pacific Place.
  • Hon 10 - Shokudo Moderne - The brand new Japanese fusion restaurant by Epicurean Group, decorated in a modern setting.
  • L’Eclair de Genie –  Their first Hong Kong pop-up was very well received at PP and now the world-renowned French éclair leader will be launching its first boutique in Hong Kong with an expanded choice of its signature sweet éclairs, chocolates, coffee and ice-cream.
  • Le Pain Quotidien – This internationally renowned Belgian bakery-restaurant chain famous for serving simple, delicious and sustainable food for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner brings its first Hong Kong shopping mall outlet to Pacific Place by renowned restaurateur Dining Concepts.
  • Operetta – Owned by Lai Sun Group, this original yet casual restaurant & bar concept will promise the freshness of Italian favourites.
  • Dining Concepts will launch to the Hong Kong dining fraternity, a unique interpretation of great brasserie dining.  The restaurant will feature the cuisine of a superb team of chefs specialising in iconic brasserie and grill dining with a creative menu - all set in a stylish yet relaxing environment, perfectly located for great dining, casual cocktails and drinking, romantic dinners or just to relax after a hard days shopping. (*Restaurant name will be announced at a later date)
  • The award winning JIA Group will bring an exciting new all day dining and bar concept to L4 of Pacific Place mall. (*Restaurant name will be announced at a later date)
  • Elephant Grounds – An independent coffee roaster and café, situated in the heart of Starstreet Precinct, known for its artisanal coffee and ice cream sandwiches.
In addition, the popular Grappa's Ristorante is relocating from the mall to another location within the Pacific Place neighbourhood. More updates on our other new restaurants will be unveiled later this year.

Pacific Place will also enhance its lifestyle and entertainment components. For example, the popular AMC Pacific Place will undergo a major facelift, including the introduction of a full-service VIP house, a revamp of the overall design and the installation of new illumination technology for the screen, along with the most advanced sound system to offer an enhanced refreshing cinematic experience. The cinema will continue to operate while the work is ongoing, with only the houses under renovation closed during the revamp, which is expected to be completed by December this year.
