Swire Properties Again Takes Top Positions In Two Leading Global Sustainability Indices

Company ranks high in the

Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark and Dow Jones Sustainability Index

Swire Properties’ efforts to integrate sustainable development (SD) into every facet of its business have once again been recognised at the global level.

After being ranked as the top company in the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index in October,

Swire Properties has also been named Global Sector Leader in the latest Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) and is among the top 5% of companies globally in the 2020 Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI).

As organisations around the world continue to place great emphasis on SD, the competition was more intense this year – with participation in both indices increasing by approximately 20%.

As we continue to pursue the goals set by our SD 2030 Strategy, the Company is working on more than 80 specific targets that address issues such as climate change and the business and social impacts brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. Moving forward, we’ll continue to explore innovative technologies and green investments to improve our resilience and bring positive change to our communities.”

In October this year, Swire Properties ranked number one in the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index for the third consecutive year, achieving the highest possible rating of “AAA” and outperforming more than 530 companies.
