Swire Properties and Mastercard to Launch Inaugural Partnership

Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong cardholders to enjoy rebate rewards, shopping and dining vouchers and a host of privileges at Swire Properties’ iconic malls

Swire Properties and Mastercard have announced a strategic partnership to provide a series of tailored shopping rewards at the real estate company’s Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong malls.

Beginning from early December, eligible Mastercard cardholders in the Chinese Mainland will be able to unlock loyalty memberships at Taikoo Li Sanlitun and INDIGO in Beijing, Taikoo Hui in Guangzhou, Taikoo Li Chengdu, and HKRI Taikoo Hui and Taikoo Li Qiantan in Shanghai. They will also enjoy a multitude of tailored shopping and dining privileges, rewards by points, exclusive access to events, member lounges and complimentary parking, by simply logging in to Mastercard’s WeChat mini programme.

This collaboration debuted in Hong Kong. Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong Mastercard cardholders who visit Pacific Place, Cityplaza and Citygate Outlets in Hong Kong during the festive season in December can enjoy up to a 12% rebate in shopping and dining vouchers and rewards, upon designated spending.

Han Zhi, Director, Retail at Swire Properties said, “We’re excited to be collaborating with Mastercard for the first time to offer cardholders and our loyalty programme members unique privileges and experiences. By leveraging our extensive retail network in the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong, this collaboration will elevate our customers’ shopping experience, and also drive cross-border spending."

Dennis Chang, Executive Vice President and Division President, Greater China, at Mastercard, said, “Mastercard has long been committed to fostering connection between the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong. We’re thrilled to embark on a new partnership with Swire Properties to boost domestic demand and inject new momentum into China's high-quality development."

This new rewards initiative builds upon Mastercard’s strong presence in the Chinese Mainland, following the launch of well-received locally issued new Mastercard cards that can be used both domestically and abroad this year. Moving forward, Swire Properties and Mastercard plan to introduce more exclusive shopping rewards and experiences at the Company’s malls in 2025.
