Energy Policy

1. As a developer, owner and operator of mixed-use properties, Swire Properties Limited (the “Company”) is committed to improving energy efficiency.   
2. It is the policy of the Company to:
  (a) implement an energy management system;
  (b) integrate energy efficiency considerations into the planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of all facilities and services;  
  (c) develop and implement technology, digitalisation, processes and systems that can continually improve the Company’s and tenants’ energy efficiency; 
  (d) ensure the availability of information and resources for setting, monitoring and regular review of the Company’s energy objectives and targets; 
  (e) meet or exceed legal requirements and integrate industry best practices into operations and services;
  (f) take into account energy efficiency and other environmental impacts in the Company’s procurement practices; 
  (g) communicate energy targets and performance to employees, contractors, suppliers, tenants, customers, joint venture partners and other stakeholders; 
  (h) adopt the energy management hierarchy in our operations and priortise demand reduction and energy efficiency; 
  (i) increase the use of renewable energy in its buildings through on-site renewable energy generation, purchase of off-site renewable energy supplied externally and other methods where applicable;
  (j) engage tenants to improve the energy efficiency of their premises in order to reduce the carbon footprint of the Company’s buildings.
3. The Company will review this Energy Policy from time to time as appropriate, and in any event, once every three years.
